Popularly known as ‘Land of Dawn-lit-Mountains’, Arunachal Pradesh is India’s remotest state and the first Indian soil to greet the rising sun. Arunachal Pradesh offers picturesque and scenic rivers.
Day 1: Arrive Guwahati and transfer to Tezpur (200kms/5hrs). Reach in the evening and stay overnight.
Day 2:After breakfast proceed to Ziro (300kms/8hrs) – driving on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra river enter the State of Arunachal Pradesh at Kimin border town. Drive onwards up the Apatani plateau to reach Ziro in the evening. Ziro is predominantly an Apatani tribal belt – tattoing and stuffing of large nose plugs were popular amongst women.
Day 3: Full day at Ziro visiting Apatani tribal villages around the town – the Hong Village is one such village considered to be the largest tribal village in Asia. Overnight at Ziro.
Day 4: After breakfast drive to Daporijo (170kms/8hrs) – enroute interface with the tagin and the hill miri tribes. Reach Daporijo in the evening and check in at a tourist house.
Day 5: Full day at Daporijo visiting tribal villages around the town. Overnight.
Day 6 : After breakfast drive to Along (180kms/8hrs) – a beautiful hill drive on forested road. At Along visit some Adi Galong tribal villages. Overnight at Along.
Day 7 : Full day at Along visiting Adi Gallong tribal villages. Overnight.
Day 8: Drive from Along to Pasighat (140kms/6hrs) – enroute drive past the confluence of the Siang and Siyom rivers offering a magnificient view. Visit some Adi tribal village before reaching Pasighat in the evening and stay overnight.
Day 9: After early breakfast drive to Dibrugarh (150 kms/ 4 hrs). Dibrugarh where you will spend the night.
Day 10: Departure transfer to the airport to board flight to onward destination.
