India’s wildest and least explored state, Arunachal (literally the ‘Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’) rises abruptly from the Assam plains as a mass of densely forested, and impossibly steep, hills, which eventually top off as snow-capped peaks along the Tibetan border.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrival in Dibrugarh, Drive to Guijan, Tinsukia (Night Stay in Guijan):*

– Your journey begins as you arrive in Dibrugarh, a city in Assam known for its tea plantations.

– From Dibrugarh, you’ll drive to Guijan in Tinsukia, a picturesque district in Assam.

– You’ll check into Guijan Padmini Resort, a serene place to unwind and relax.

*Day 2 – Explore Maguri Beel and Drive to Roing (Overnight in Roing):*

– Early in the morning, you’ll set off to explore Maguri Beel, a wetland sanctuary where you can observe a variety of bird species. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride amidst the lush nature.

– After your birdwatching adventure, you’ll continue your journey by road, driving to Roing.

– Roing is a beautiful town in Arunachal Pradesh, where you’ll spend the night.

 

*Day 3 – Drive to Anini:*

– On this day, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to Anini. The road trip will offer you stunning views of the region’s landscapes.

 

*Day 4 – Explore Anini (Free Valley, Chigu Camp):*

– You’ll have a full day to explore Anini, a town surrounded by natural beauty.

– Visit Free Valley and Chigu Camp, both offering opportunities to immerse yourself in the region’s pristine wilderness.

 

*Day 5 – Return to Namsai (Overnight in Namsai):*

– You’ll drive back from Anini to Namsai, where you’ll spend the night.

– Namsai is known for its tranquil environment and cultural attractions.

 

*Day 6 – Visit Golden Pagoda, Buddhist Temple, and Drive to Tezu (Parashuram Kund):*

– Begin your day with a visit to the Golden Pagoda, a magnificent Buddhist temple that holds cultural and religious significance.

– You’ll also explore the local Buddhist temple and its surroundings.

– Later, you’ll drive to Tezu to visit Parashuram Kund, a revered pilgrimage site. Return back to Namsai.

 

*Day 7 – Explore Margherita (Singpho Village Lodge, Digboi Oil Museum, Night Stay in Tinsukia):*

– Your journey takes you to Margherita, a town in Assam.

– Visit the Singpho Village Lodge, where you can learn about the history of tea and enjoy a traditional meal.

– Explore the Digboi Oil Museum, which showcases the rich history of oil exploration in the region.

– You’ll spend the night in Tinsukia, a city known for its tea gardens.

 

*Day 8 – Departure (Drop-off at Guwahati Airport):*

– On the final day of your journey, you’ll be provided with a drop-off service to Guwahati Airport, where you can catch your flight to your next destination.
