Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: GUWAHATI – UMDEN – BARAPANI
Take an early-morning flight to Guwahati. On arrival, our represtative will meet you and drive you to Barapani . On the way, we will take you to Umden Village, also known as the Silk Village of Meghalaya, where we watch silkworms being farmed, learn how to weave silk, and practice the traditional weaving and color-dying techniques using fruits, tree leaves, turmeric, and other all-natural dyes. Drive continues to your hotel or enjoys some water activities at Barapani Lake. Night stay at hotel at Umiam.
Day 2: UMIAM – MAWPHLANG – CHERRAPUNJEE
Start your journey towards cherrapunjee . Drive to visit mawphlang sacred forest,
Our guide will be there to take you around the forest and help you to understand the significance of the forest.
Afternoon drive to cherrapunjee (Sohra), Visit the Welsh settlement – Welsh missionaries arrived in Meghalaya in the 1840s, and evidence of their presence can be found in the bungalows, schools, churches, and cemeteries built in Cherrapunji. Spend the night at Cherrapunjee
Day 3: DOUBLE DECKER TREK
Morning after breakfast drive to tyrna village, our guide will receive you and start your trek to the double decker living root bridge. The first part of your trek will Be through the concrete staircases to reach the first bridge which is single decker. Pass through the panoramic view of the surrounding s and witness some crystal clear blue water before reaching double decker living Root Bridge. Spend Some quality time out there before trek back to cherrrapunjee . Spend the night at Cherrapunjee
Day 4: CHERRAPUNJEE – MAWKMA – MAWLYNNONG
Check out from the hotel and drive to Mawkma Village, Meet the local guide and explore different water bodies, walk around the village to get the real flavour of the state. You can take a dip in the crystall clear natural pool. Later drive to Ka bri war resort (near mawlynnong village) overlooking the beautiful valley. Spend the night there.
Day 5: MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI- JOWAI
Morning drive to explore the tranquil Mawlynnong village , walk around this beautiful charming village , later head to Dawki , visit Indo –Bangladesh border check post and enjoy the boating at Umngot River , which flows through dawki is one of the cleanest river with clear blue water. You’ll have also option to enjoy some water activities at the river. Post lunch drive to Krangshuri Waterfalls Located in the Jaintia hills, Krang Suri is blessed with shimmering blue waters and sparkling sunlight. This heady mixture of nature is sometimes known to create a rainbow. It’s truly a magical pool in nature’s wonderland. After that drive to Jowai. Enroute visit Phe Phe Waterfalls if time Permit.
Day 6: JOWAI- LAITLUM- GUWAHATI
Post early breakfast drive to Laitlum Canyon. Spend some quality time at the valley. After that drive to Guwahati. Evening enjoy river Cruise at Guwahati. Overnight
Perched in the East Khasi Hills of Shillong, Laitlum Canyons is a little-explored haunt of the mountainous state of Meghalaya. Laitlum translates to ‘end of hills’ and this sublimely beautiful hilltop appears to be true to its name. At Laitlum, all one can see are breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the lush valley.
Day 7: DEPARTURE
Post breakfast visit Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills and after that drive to Guwahati airport for onward destination
