Northeast India, often referred to as the “Seven Sisters” along with the “brother” state of Sikkim, comprises eight states: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim. This region shares international borders with China, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal, making it a strategic and culturally rich area. The city of Guwahati in Assam is commonly known as the “Gateway to the Northeast” and serves as the largest metropolis in the region
The Northeast is renowned for its diverse ethnic and linguistic communities, with over 166 distinct tribes, each possessing unique traditions and languages. This cultural mosaic is celebrated through various festivals, such as Nagaland’s Hornbill Festival, which showcases traditional Naga culture through tribal dances, songs, and arts

Day 01 :
Arrive Guwahati – Transfer to Nameri National Park (260 km/5 hrs)

Reach in the evening and stay overnight at a forest lodge.

Day 02 :
Nameri – Dirang (160 km/4 hrs)

Early morning trekking at Nameri. After breakfast, drive to Dirang. Enroute visit Tippi Orchid Centre and Nachipur Falls.

Day 03 :
Dirang – Tawang (180 km/6 hrs)

Drive to Tawang, stopping at Sella Pass and Jaswant Ghar War Memorial.

Day 04 :
Explore Tawang

Visit Tawang Monastery, Craft Centre, Museum, War Memorial, and Nunnery

Day 05 :
Tawang to Bomdila

Drive to Bomdila with a stop at Nuranarang Falls. Overnight stay.

Day 06 :
Bomdila- Ziro

Visit Bomdila Monastery, then drive to Ziro, entering Arunachal Pradesh at Kimin. Reach Ziro in the evening.

Day 07 :
Ziro sightseeing

Full day visiting Apatani tribal villages like Hong Village, the largest tribal village in Asia.

Day 08 :
Ziro – Daporijo (170 km/8 hrs)

Drive to Daporijo, interacting with Tagin and Hill Miri tribes. Stay overnight.

Day 09 :
Daporijo

Full day visiting tribal villages around Daporijo. Overnight stay.

Day 10 :
Daporijo – Along (180 km/8 hrs)

Scenic drive to Along. Visit Adi Galong tribal villages.

Day 11 :
Along – Pasighat (140 km/6 hrs)

Explore more Adi Galong tribal villages. Overnight stay.

Day 12 :
Pasighat – Dibrugarh – Sibsagar

Post breakfast drive from Pasighat to to Dibrugarh, then drive to Sibsagar (80 km/2 hrs). Explore Ahom monuments.

Day 13 :
ibsagar – Namdapha National Park (200 km/5 hrs)

Drive to Namdapha, check in at a forest lodge, and relax by the Noa Dihing River.

Day 14 :
Trekking in Namdapha

Day 15 :
Namdapha National Park

Trek to Haldibari (5 km, 2 hrs). Camp overnight.

Day 16 :
Namdapha National Park

Trek to Hornbill and Bulbulia camps. Return to Hornbill for overnight

Day 17 :
Namdapha National Park

Trek back to Deban. Stay at the forest lodge.

Day 18 :
Namdapha to Dibriagarh

Drive to Dibrugarh, stopping at the Digboi Oil Museum. Overnight stay.

Day 19 :
Dibrugarh – Sibsagar – Mon (Nagaland)

Drive to Sibsagar, visit Ahom monuments, then continue to Mon (120 km/6 hrs). Overnight stay.

Day 20 :
Mon

Full day exploring Konyak tribal villages, including Shangyu village.

Day 21 :
Mon – Jorhat (180 km/8 hrs)

Drive through Assam’s tea gardens to Jorhat. Overnight stay

Day 22 :
Jorhat – Majuli Island

Drive to the riverfront, ferry to Majuli (2 hrs). Explore Vaishnavite monasteries. Overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 23 :
Majuli – Mokokchung (100 km/6 hrs)

Ferry back to the mainland and drive to Mokokchung, an Ao Naga tribal area

Day 24 :
Mokokchung – Tuophema (120 km/5 hrs)

Full day exploring Ao Naga villages. Overnight stay.

Day 25 :
Tuophema – Kohima (40 km/2 hrs)

Drive to Kohima. Visit the WWII Cemetery and local market.

Day 26 :
Explore Kohima

Visit the State Museum, Catholic Cathedral, and Kohima village.

Day 27 :
Trek to Dzukou Valley

Full day trekking to the stunning Dzukou Valley. Return to Kohima for overnight stay.

Day 28 :
Kohima – Kaziranga National Park (300 km/7 hrs)

Drive to Kaziranga, home to the one-horned rhinoceros.

Day 29 :
Kaziranga National Park

Full day elephant and jeep safaris in Kaziranga.

Day 30 :
Kaziranga – Shillong (320 km/7 hrs)

Drive to Shillong, stopping to view Umiam Lake. Overnight stay.

Day 31 :
Shillong – Cherrapunjee (56 km/2 hrs

Scenic drive to Cherrapunjee. Visit limestone caves and waterfalls.

Day 32 :
Cherrapunji

Trek to the living root bridges (7 hrs). Return to the resort.

Day 33 :
Cherrapunjee – Guwahati (200 km/5 hrs)

Drive to Guwahati. Enjoy an evening cruise on the Brahmaputra River.

Day 34 :
Departure

Transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
