Day 1 : Arrive Jorhat and transfer hotel. evening free for liesure and stay overnight.

Day 2 : Journey to Majuli island - drive to the river front (45mins) to board a ferry to the island that will take approx. 2hrs - at the island visit the monasteries and interface with the monks of the centre of the Vaishnavite culture. The island is dominated by the mishmi tribes who are predominantly agriculturists. Overnight at a guest house in the island.

Day 3 : After breakfast return to the mainland by boat and than drive onwards to Mokokchung in Nagaland (100kms/6hrs) - entering Nagaland drive up the hill to reach Mokokchung in the evening. Overnight at a tourist lodge.

Day 4 : Full day at Mokokchung - a predominantly Ao Naga tribal area - visit their villages around the town and interface with the tribe to know their culture and history. Overnight at Mokokchung.

Day 5 Drive from Mokokchung to Tuephema (120kms/5hrs) - reach in the afternoon and take a walk around this Angami Naga tribal village. Stay overnight at a Naga Ethnic Cottage managed by the village community.

Day 6: After breakfast drive to Kohima (40kms/2hrs) - reach in the afternoon and if time permits visit the 2nd World War Allied Forces Cemetery and the local market. Overnight at a hotel.

Day 7 : Full day at Kohima - the capital city of the State of Nagaland - visiting the museum, the catholic cathedral and the Kohima Village around the town. Overnight.

Day 8 : Full day trekking to the Djuku Valley. Return to Kohima in the evening and stay

Day 9: Departure to Dimapur after breakfast( 72 kms/2hrs). Arrival at Dimapur and check into hotel. At Dimapur visit Medieval Kachari Kingdom Ruins-Bambo Resource Center- Northeast Zone cultural center- Dizephe craft village. Lunch will be provided at enroute. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 10: After late breakfast at around (10:00 am) drive to dimapur airport for onward destination.

Nagaland - The Warrior tribes

Day 1: Arrive Guwahati and transfer to Tezpur (200kms/5hrs). Reach in the evening and stay overnight.

Day 2:After breakfast proceed to Ziro (300kms/8hrs) - driving on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra river enter the State of Arunachal Pradesh at Kimin border town. Drive onwards up the Apatani plateau to reach Ziro in the evening. Ziro is predominantly an Apatani tribal belt - tattoing and stuffing of large nose plugs were popular amongst women.

Day 3: Full day at Ziro visiting Apatani tribal villages around the town - the Hong Village is one such village considered to be the largest tribal village in Asia. Overnight at Ziro.

Day 4: After breakfast drive to Daporijo (170kms/8hrs) - enroute interface with the tagin and the hill miri tribes. Reach Daporijo in the evening and check in at a tourist house.

Day 5: Full day at Daporijo visiting tribal villages around the town. Overnight.

Day 6 : After breakfast drive to Along (180kms/8hrs) - a beautiful hill drive on forested road. At Along visit some Adi Galong tribal villages. Overnight at Along.

Day 7 : Full day at Along visiting Adi Gallong tribal villages. Overnight.

Day 8: Drive from Along to Pasighat (140kms/6hrs) - enroute drive past the confluence of the Siang and Siyom rivers offering a magnificient view. Visit some Adi tribal village before reaching Pasighat in the evening and stay overnight.

Day 9: After early breakfast drive to Dibrugarh (150 kms/ 4 hrs). Dibrugarh where you will spend the night.

Day 10: Departure transfer to the airport to board flight to onward destination.

Arunachal Pradesh - Land of Varied Tribes & Culture

Day 1 - Arrival in Dibrugarh, Drive to Guijan, Tinsukia

Your journey begins as you arrive in Dibrugarh, a city in Assam known for its tea plantations. From Dibrugarh, you'll drive to Guijan in Tinsukia, a picturesque district in Assam. You'll check into Guijan Padmini Resort, a serene place to unwind and relax.

Day 2 - Explore Maguri Beel and Drive to Roing
Early in the morning, you'll set off to explore Maguri Beel, a wetland sanctuary where you can observe a variety of bird species. Enjoy a peaceful boat ride amidst the lush nature. After your birdwatching adventure, you'll continue your journey by road, driving to Roing. Roing is a beautiful town in Arunachal Pradesh, where you'll spend the night.
Day 3 - Drive to Anini:
On this day, you'll embark on a scenic drive to Anini. The road trip will offer you stunning views of the region's landscapes.
Day 4 - Explore Anini (Free Valley, Chigu Camp):
You'll have a full day to explore Anini, a town surrounded by natural beauty. Visit Free Valley and Chigu Camp, both offering opportunities to immerse yourself in the region's pristine wilderness.
Day 5 - Return to Namsai (Overnight in Namsai):
You'll drive back from Anini to Namsai, where you'll spend the night. Namsai is known for its tranquil environment and cultural attractions.
Day 6 - Visit Golden Pagoda, Buddhist Temple, and Drive to Tezu (Parashuram Kund):Begin your day with a visit to the Golden Pagoda, a magnificent Buddhist temple that holds cultural and religious significance. You'll also explore the local Buddhist temple and its surroundings. Later, you'll drive to Tezu to visit Parashuram Kund, a revered pilgrimage site. Return back to Namsai.
Day 7 - Explore Margherita (Singpho Village Lodge, Digboi Oil Museum, Night Stay in Tinsukia): Your journey takes you to Margherita, a town in Assam.
- Visit the Singpho Village Lodge, where you can learn about the history of tea and enjoy a traditional meal. Explore the Digboi Oil Museum, which showcases the rich history of oil exploration in the region. You'll spend the night in Tinsukia, a city known for its tea gardens.
Day 8 - Departure (Drop-off at Dibrugarh Airport):
On the final day of your journey, you'll be provided with a drop-off service to Dibrugarh Airport, where you can catch your flight to your next destination

Eastern Arunachal Pradesh

Day 1: Dibrugarh to Roing (160 kms/ 4 hrs)

Early in the morning pick up from Hotels and transfer to Roing It is a picturesque town in a valley by the side of the Dibang River. Overnight stay.Reach Roing and drive to visit Bismaknagar, enroute visit the tribal villages of the Idu Mishmi community.

Bhismaknagar:

Bhismaknagar which is 30 km from Roing is the oldest archaeological and mythological site in Arunachal Pradesh with a rich and ancient history. The ruins of the ‘Hill Fort’ made up of burnt bricks dates back to 12th century A.D. The fort which extends over an area of 10 sq. km., was excavated during 1969-1973 which yielded terracotta plaques, decorative tiles, potteries, terracotta figurines etc. Bhismaknagar finds reference in Bhagawad-gita and the Mahabharata. The Idu Mishmi tribe is associated with the legend of Rukmini Devi, King Bhismaka’daughter and Lord Krishna’s consort. It is believed that she was from this tribe. Popular legends and traditions identify the ruins of the fort as the site of the capital of King Bhismaka.

Day 2: Roing to Pasighat (100 kms / 3 hours)

Early in the morning drive to Mayudia and later transfer to Pasighat. Overnight

Mayudia:

This unique hill sight is 56 km from Roing and is situated at an altitude of about 8000 ft amidst lofty hills, lush green forests and breathtaking landscapes which provide a panoramic view of the surrounding snow capped mountains and the landscape. The ascending drive from Roing to Mayudia along the winding twelve-necked point (Baro Golai) of the road provides a sense of adventure as well as close encounter with nature.

Day 3: Pasighat to Along (145 kms/5 hours)

Early morning visit some villages of the Pasi tribe who are a subgroup of the Adi tribe. And then Continue driving through some breath taking landscapes as you now enter the main Siang valley, inhabited by the Adi tribe. O/n at a hotel in along

Day 4: Along

In the morning set out to visit a village of the Adi Minyong tribe, learning about their customs, culture and lifestyle. Their villages are mostly located on mountain tops, from where they get their name Adi meaning ‘Mountain Top’. During our walk through the villages you will be impressed by their mastery over bamboo and cane which are used to make everything from their grand houses, to intricate baskets and a unique Adi cap. The women folk are no less, matching their skills in local weaves. If you are interested in local products this would be the best place to buy them from.

In the afternoon drive to Darka, one of the largest village of the Gallo tribe. Walk through the village, interacting with the local people to understand their sustainable way of life. Overnight

Day 5: Along to Daporijo (170 kms/6 hours)

Drive further West , crossing over to the Subansiri valley. En route we visit some villages of the Hill Miri tribe.

Daporijo is small town on the banks of the Subansiri River, offering grand views of the emerald river. This area is mainly inhabited by the Tagin, Hill Miri and Mishmi tribes. Overnight

Day 6: Daporijo to Ziro (184 kms/ 6 hours)

In the morning continue further down the lower part of Subansiri valley to Ziro – The land of the Apatani tribe. In the evening relax. Overnight stay

Day 7: Ziro

Full day at Ziro. Visit he village. Interact with local people. Overnigh

The Ziro valley is by far one of the most picturesque places in all of Arunachal Pradesh, bearing the appearance of a colourful natural mosaic. This valley is inhabited by the Apatani tribe who are spread across seven large villages. One of the most evolved and intellectual of all tribes, the Apatanis have unique customs and traditions. The farming practices of the Apatani are considered to be one of the most productive in the world.

Day 8: Ziro to Itanagar

Drive to the capital city of Itaganar. We will visit some villages of the Nyishi tribe as we near Itanagar. Overnight.

Day 9: Departure from Itanagar airport

Post breakfast drive to airport for onward destination
